It's Cookie Time Again!  Sales Start Saturday, January 7

This year's theme is "Be Brilliant - Follow the Formula to Success!"   The cookie sales program is the Girl Scouts' main fundraiser event.    This program raises more money for Scout programs than United Way donations, Family Partership, or corporate grants.   Since we're still Brownies, it's also our only approved fund raising activity aside from parent donations and Family Partnership.

We are using some of our cookie money to help offset the cost of field trips this year.   Since these get more expensive as the girls get older, we're glad they've been enthusiastic about selling!

This year we'll be setting goals as a troop - and we ask also that you work with your daughter to set a goal that's personal for her that is separate from how many boxes she sells.    Maybe it's practicing public speaking, or making a business card, or learning to add up her sales, or make change.   Maybe she's never tried to sell anything before and her goal would be to sell one box.  Whatever it is, it should be important to her.

January 3rd - Regular Meeting.  Kickoff for Cookie Sales - practice selling, make goal magnets, set goals for our earnings.

January 10th - booth drawing (we find out how many cookie booths we will get and when they will be)

January 17th - Regular Meeting.

January 23rd - First cookie orders due to Lynn Belew.  This is the count that sets award levels for super sellers.   The "diva" level this year is 450 boxes.

Round Up - Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, 10:00AM to 3:00 PM  March 25.  Join other Girl Scouts from across South Texas for a fun day of crafts and activities.  Girls can get segments for their People Patches again this year.  The donation list will be posted soon.

Wild Winks - Houston Zoo

Possible spring dates are March 4, April 7, April 28, and May 26 or 27.   We'll be checking with you to see if one of these works for you.   This is an overnight event at the Zoo.   Tents will be provided.
